Description: The ASC Contracts™ development group is looking for Software Developers to join the team. ASC Contracts™ is a J2EE Contract Life Cycle management application. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing new features and customizations for the product. The work will include the writing of functional analysis documents, implementation and unit testing. You should be an individual who enjoys working with the latest web technologies and who thrives in the dynamic environment of a small company.

Requirements:

• At least 4 - 7 years of Java development;
• Experience working with J2EE application servers (Apache/Tomcat, Websphere, BEA);
• Experience with web technologies including HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT, SOAP;
• Knowledge of databases and SQL is an asset;
• Familiarity with web application development environments (Netbeans, Eclipse) is a plus;
• Strong communication skills;
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent area of study.

Application Software Developers

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing new applications of the product. The work will include the gathering of requirements and implementation. You should be an individual who enjoys working with the latest web technologies and who thrives in the dynamic environment of a small company.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of web technologies in particular HTTP, HTML, XML and XSLT;
• Knowledge of Java;
• Knowledge of databases and SQL is an asset;
• Familiarity with web application development environments (Netbeans, Eclipse) is a plus;
• Strong communication skills;
• College or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent area of study.

Support and QA

Software Quality Project Manager

Description: The ASC Contracts™ Support and Verification group is looking for a software quality project manager (term contract). The ideal candidate will develop overall project test strategies, including functional verification, regression, configuration, integration, stress and performance testing. You will take on the responsibility of reviewing our current verification procedures, providing recommendations and a plan for continued growth. The work will include:

• Reviewing the lifecycle of a CMS implementation including the installation process, software and documentation;
• Work with functional requirements, design documents, etc. to formulate validation protocolsr;
• Review all verification/quality procedures in placer;
• Review of testing software programs and systems;
• Analyse and make recommendations on the effectiveness of the quality system and any quality related issues;
• Construct sample test plan(s), including regression testing of software programs and systems, and mechanized cross-browser testing of applications;
• Utilize industry best practices to review and make recommendations on the implementation and administration of test plans/test suites. All test plans must be deployable and executable on an open platform (e.g. Linux).

You should be an individual who enjoys working with the latest technologies and who thrives in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• At least 4 years of work experience with software test development;
• Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience;
• Demonstrated project management skills;
• Experience with automated test tools, and cross-browser based testing;
• Programming skills (Java, XML, XSL, HTML and Javascript);
• Relational database and SQL development skills;
• Familiarity with web application development technologies such as Tomcat, Apache, and LDAP;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good analytical and problem solving abilities;
• Experience with operation system API's, and knowledge of data structures, Perl and UNIX shells.

Intermediate Support Specialist

Description: The ASC Contracts™ Support and Verification group is looking for an intermediate support specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will take on the responsibility of supporting ASC products and solutions to achieve the following:

• Provide Level I to III support for customer solutions within SLA requirements;
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and aid in the resolution of customer issues;
• Participate in the coordination and administration of release management activities;
• Work closely with development, verification and systems management teams;
• Ensure smooth delivery of ASC solution upgrades;
• Monitoring of support tickets, application and system messages from production systems;
• Accurately identify, reproduce and document defects and customer requests for enhancements;
• The candidate will also be expected to participate in some verification and development activities.

• At least two years of experience in a support or equivalent role;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good analytical and problem solving abilities;
• Scripting skills (UNIX, perl);
• Understanding of Java, C/C++ Web applications;
• Familiarity with Tomcat, Apache, Oracle, LDAP, XML, XSL, HTML and Javascript;
• Bachelors or college degree in information technology.
