Sales

Sales Executive, Communications Vertical

Description: ASC is looking for a seasoned Sales Executive to lead the development of sales in the Communications (Carriers, Resellers, ISPs, Wireless Service Providers, Cablecos) vertical throughout North America and manage the sales requirements for the organization.

The position requires a professional sales executive who possesses the personality and intellectual capacity to manage the strategic complexity required to position the organization for significant growth over the next five years.

Reporting directly to Shawn King, President and Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will also work closely with the Sales Executive in Financial Services and other partners in the Communications vertical.

The successful candidate will have an intuitive ability to
  • Identify and understand the challenges and problems of existing and potential new customers for which ASC solutions work or could be adapted
  • Identify potential business partners with whom ASC could leverage synergies
  • Understand people and their needs
  • A strong sense of urgency, maturity and the ability to mentor and influence others
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop ASC's Sales Strategy and prospecting action plan, lead and participate in Account planning sessions for the Communications vertical, and partner with the Sales Executive in Financial Services vertical
  • Adhere to proven consultative sales methodology, where all leads and opportunities are measured and tracked, and constructive weekly coaching is provided
  • Promote, develop and foster a cohesive conceptual approach to sales throughout the organization including development of intellectual capital
  • Understand and maintain information on the competitive landscape and marketplace
  • Work with the management team and leverage firm resources to identify and target markets and prioritize clients and partners
  • Address issues/concerns regarding solution offerings and assist in fee negotiations to successfully bring deals to closure
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
  • Proven business acumen and track record selling multi-year software applications/solutions or managed services
  • Minimum 5 years proven success in business to business solution selling
  • Progressive career experience in developing new business opportunities and revenues
  • Track record of success identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective clients, with emphasis on building relationships and selling solutions to C.E.O.'s C.O.O.'s and C.I.O's and other members of the "C-suite".
  • Significant experience leading business-to-business marketing and/or sales of services and/or solutions in sophisticated sales corporations or professional services firms
  • Demonstrated ability to establish contacts, build relationships and provide valuable consultative support to clients and partner organizations, and to develop trusting client relationships which lead to repeat and referral business
  • Proven ability to identify, work with and establish connections and interdependencies between a sales organization and its clients
  • Credibility, results-orientation, independence and maturity required to successfully contribute within a team of successful, proven professionals
  • Exceptional leadership skills, make decisions and take actions readily and provide clear direction and counsel to account/pursuit teams
  • Strong financial and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrated network and relationships with major Communications organizations
  • A University / College degree
