ASC Sponsors 2016 Ottawa Affinity Newfoundland and Labrador Fundraising Event

ASC proudly supports the Ottawa Affinity NL event which focuses on raising scholarship funds while celebrating the culture, innovation and achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Ottawa, Ontario (October 24, 2016) — ASC Networks Inc. (ASC), a leading provider of SaaS and on-premise based contract, document, form, and configure, price and quote (CPQ) management solutions to SMBs and large enterprises, today announced that it is sponsoring the 16th Annual Ottawa Affinity Newfoundland and Labrador Dinner. The Annual Ottawa Affinity NL Dinner is a flagship event of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), with similar events held in other Canadian cities. This series of events celebrates the excellence and achievements of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians while event proceeds support the MUN Scholarship Fund.

The 16th Annual Ottawa Affinity NL Dinner is taking place Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the Canadian War Museum. While enjoying Newfoundland and Labrador culture, entertainment and fine dining, guests can join MUN alumni and friends, dignitaries and other special guests for an unforgettable evening, celebrating Newfoundland and Labrador's rich culture and heritage. All proceeds from this event support scholarships at MUN.

This year’s event features keynote speaker Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador and emcee David Cochrane, Senior Reporter, CBC Parliamentary Bureau, Ottawa.

The Canadian Forces Central Band will provide the music for the evening; playing a variety of Newfoundland and Labrador, military and contemporary favourites.

Corporate Social Responsibility

For ASC, active community involvement is an integral part of our corporate philosophy. We believe in making a commitment to our community and giving back in various ways.

ASC encourages and is actively engaged with universities and local high schools to develop our youth’s education and career readiness by participating in co-op and other academic programs; including providing financial support and full-time employment opportunities to selected students.

ASC sponsors local sports teams and individual athletes in activities running the gamut from hockey to karate. Sponsorships include regular season costs, tournament fees, travel subsidies, competition support, etc.

ASC supports charitable events such as charity golf tournaments, dinners and other activities by providing sponsorship funds, donating prizes, or sponsoring teams/tables. ASC also sponsors teams to participate in sports, walks, etc., to raise money for great causes.

In addition, ASC supports its many employees who volunteer with local charities and non-profits, helping with fundraising events, acting on boards of directors, and providing in-kind services.

The ASC e-Waste refurbishing project is aimed at addressing the environmental impact of e-Waste and using refurbished computers to improve access to and quality of education.
